About the Principal
Suzanne
Dane,
MBA, CMC
|
Suzanne Dane is an MBA Executive Management graduate, an entrepreneur and an experienced
senior-level manager. She offers 25 years business
experience across Canada in a diverse range of areas
including business administration, community
development, event and project management, communications,
and training /development. Suzanne’s experience
spans both the corporate sectors (Office Manager of
Canada’s 5th largest law firm) to the small business
entrepreneurial sector where she
has personally been responsible for
establishing 7 companies (all profitable within
first 18 months) both Canada and the U.S.
After ten years in the Ontario corporate sector,
Suzanne transferred to British Columbia in 1990
through her position as Manager, Business Training with Business Development Bank of
Canada. She has provided entrepreneurial and
business management training to
colleges and associations since 1990 and is
currently
Associate Faculty (School of Business) with
Royal Roads University. She has been instrumental in
establishing several very successful provincial training and mentoring
programs targeted to both youth and women in
business. Her personal passion is around
micro-enterprise development of women in business
globally where she has spent time working in
international markets.

A management consultant with her own
consultancy for the past 12 years, Suzannehas been
involved in a variety of leading edge Canadian
community development initiatives and events for
both public and private sector. She brings a
strategic focus and management skill to the
development and implementation of programs and
events, whether related to business, community
economic development or fundraising.
With
a strong background in community programming as well
as project and event management, Suzanne was hired
as BC Director for ParticipACTION and was one of
five national managers responsible for Canada’s
largest millennium celebration (approximately 21
million dollars) – the Trans Canada Trail Relay
2000. Through this project she worked with over 800
Canadian communities and traveled from coast to
coast to coast.
Suzanne
keeps herself active in the community and sits on
the executive of several boards and committees
including Canadian Association of Management
Consultants, PacificSport and KidSport. She spent
seven years on the Executive of the YM-YWCA Women
of Distinction, which she Chaired in 2002. Suzanne
co-chaired the Host – Protocol Committee for the
International Triathlon held in Victoria during
the summers of 2001 and 2002 and acted as Team Attache for Malaysia during the Commonwealth Games.
She subsequently spent several months in Southeast
Asia on a hosted speaking tour for the CanAsean
Centre, speaking to international women in Business.
Ms. Dane is an Award Recipient in Business Person
of the year.

Alison
Ducharme

As
a professional event manager, Alison Ducharme has specialized in
event and conference management for the past fifteen years. As
the principal of Ducharme Consulting, Alison has worked with a
variety of organizations implementing projects, events and
conferences on a local, provincial and national level.
Alison is a strategic thinker possessing vision for what will be
the most effective and efficient implementation of any event.
Alison has also gained considerable experience as a project
manager overseeing a variety of projects such as the 100 years
of Education Celebrations for the University of Victoria,
Camosun College Graduation Ceremonies; Awards Events; Community
Festivals; Fundraising Galas; Sport Competitions and numerous
local initiatives. As a testament to her expertise, Alison has
been invited to offer workshops and seminars in event
management.
As a volunteer in Victoria, Alison is currently the Co-Chair of
KidSport Greater Victoria; and Co-Chair of Promotion Plus
Victoria. Previously, she was a member of the Board of
Directors for the Victoria 2000 BC Summer Games as the Director
of Protocol and has also served as Chair of the Women of
Distinction Awards Event and Chair of the Victoria Women’s
Transition House Board of Directors. |
Anna
Harvey

Anna
Harvey is a communications generalist and a skilled
event manager. For over 20 years, she has provided
communications consultation and support to clients in
Victoria and Calgary. Her multi-dimensional portfolio
spans special event planning, tracking and
implementation; communications assessment and planning;
marketing strategies; and, creative writing and
editing. Her holistic, concept-to-completion approach
ensures project success through equal attention to the
big picture vision and the fine details of planning.
Anna quickly became active in the community upon
arriving in Victoria from Calgary eight years ago by
volunteering her marketing, event planning and
communications expertise to leading community
organizations including the Trans Canada Trail Relay
2000, the Greater Victoria Film Commission, the YM-YWCA
Women of Distinction, and CNIB's Eye Appeal. Formerly
the Event and Communications Manager for The Victoria
Hospitals Foundation, Anna is now a valuable addition to
the RSG consulting team. Most recently Anna’s project
portfolio has included special events and communications
for Shaw Communications (Head Office) and Suncor (Oil
Sands).
Anna is
a
Toastmaster CTM and has conducted numerous workshops in
communications. In addition, she is an active community
volunteer. Anna sits on the Board of Directors for
Volunteer Victoria and is also a member of the Revenue
Generation Committee. She is a Big Sister through Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Victoria.

Walt Nicholson’s expertise is in creative marketing strategies,
with a focus on web-based applications. Having worked in the
Victoria community for over 20 years, he has an impressive array
of private and public sector clients and gives generously of his
time and professional expertise to community based initiatives.
Walt is a 2007 candidate for his MBA in Executive Management

Michele
is an international management consultant who specializes in
helping organizations reach their corporate goals by operating
more effectively. He has over 20 years experience in the
financial sector both as a consultant and an executive in
financial institutions. Prior to moving to Canada over 10 years
ago, he was the owner and operator of a large insurance agency
in Italy and was the manager of the Wealth Management Division
of a Canadian Credit Union.
Michele is
particularly skilled in managing relationships and helping
companies during the difficult challenges of change. He is a
strong and enthusiastic people’s motivator and approaches each
client undertaking with integrity and a high sense of
values-based principles.
Michele’s
specialty is in financial management and strategic business
planning. With a client list that includes private and public
corporations, one of his most recent accomplishments is the
successful completion a strategic business plan for a consortium
of natural resources’ consultants, government agencies and
universities departments focused to promote Canadian know-how
internationally. He brings a wealth of public and private sector
experience to the not-for-profit world (essential for non-profit
organizational development in today’s highly competitive
market).
Michele is an
Associate Faculty member of Royal Roads University currently
teaching online management courses to their MBA learners. He is
also Associate Faculty with the Swiss Management Center in Zug,
Switzerland, teaching Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA)
classes in research methodology and managerial economics as well
as Associate Faculty member with Aspen University in Denver
Colorado, teaching corporate finance and micro/macro Economics
to the MBA students.
Michele has
completed an MBA in Executive Management at Royal Roads
University in Victoria and is a Certified Investment Manager (CIM),
Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Certified
Financial Planner (CFP), Trusts Specialist (STI), and Certified
Management Consultant (CMC) as well as currently being enrolled
in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. He is member
of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC) and
he is one of the directors of the Fellow Canadian Securities
Institute (FCSI) National Council.
